On 10 July B.E. 2569 (2026), the Royal Thai Government Gazette (Ratchakitcha) published a new set of Thai Industrial Standards (TIS), covering agricultural and forestry machinery, automated systems, food safety, and textiles, as detailed below.
The Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI), Ministry of Industry, has announced a new set of Thai Industrial Standards (TIS) covering agricultural and forestry machinery, automated systems, food safety, and textiles.
Why do these standards matter?
๐ค Enhance the safety of tractors and agricultural-forestry machinery, especially automated and robotic systems
๐ Standardize symbols and control buttons on machinery, reducing confusion for operators
๐งช Raise food safety standards โ from vegetables, fruits, and juices to heavy-metal contaminants and mycotoxins
โ๏ธ Establish cold-chain guidelines for vegetables, fruits, mushrooms, and cucumbers to preserve quality throughout
